Student of our Vietnamese Therapeutic Massage Course in December 2024
Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Anh, born in 1999, is from Chí Linh, Hải Dương. She was born with an eye condition that caused her vision to gradually deteriorate. By the age of 15, her eyesight began to fade, and eventually, she lost her vision completely.
Ngọc Anh shared that she was initially very shy and insecure. Losing her sight left her feeling hopeless and deeply saddened. However, with unwavering support and encouragement from her parents, she found the strength to move forward. Her family’s love and care helped her regain her spirit and start anew.
With her family’s support, Ngọc Anh joined the Association for the Blind in Hải Dương and began a new chapter by learning massage therapy. After months of hard work and determination, she gained her first clients. Though she felt nervous at first, Ngọc Anh gradually built her confidence and improved her skills through experience.
Now, she works 5 to 6 hours daily, earning a wage of 65,000 VND per hour. On average, 1 or 2 out of every 10 clients tip her an additional 10,000 to 50,000 VND.
Attending the course at 217 Trung Kính, Cầu Giấy, Ngọc Anh hopes to connect with others in the industry and, more importantly, enhance and refine her massage techniques.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that with support, determination, and a willingness to learn, challenges can be turned into opportunities for growth and success.
